Goodbye Summer and Hello Winter!

Gardens at the Cordillera Valley Club in full bloom.

While I absolutely love fall and the changing colors I know we will be cutting back these beautiful flowers soon so I do get a little sad. Yes we do cut them back and remove all the annuals. They will soon be buried under several feet of snow and cutting the flowers back makes life a slight bit easier in the spring. If you live where your gardens are visible year round I would leave your hardy perennials for fall and winter interest. So here are some of my favorite pictures I took over the summer which is never easy to remember to do. Happy Fall!

Profusion of annuals in Arrowhead…red, pink and coral geraniums with lilac petunias.
Shade garden looking colorful with red sunpatiens, blue pansies, hostas and begonias.
Oh so many annuals for the win….cosmos, chrysanthemums, petunias, dahlias, and zinnias.
Bright and bold enough to stop the cars passing by!
May every path be filled with this many perennials.
Can’t go wrong with peonies and blue geraniums.
Not easy making a curb look this good!
Lastly what is there not to love about having all my dearest friends trample my garden for the perfect instagram pic!
