Just sitting here waiting for the snow to melt so I can enjoy my beautiful garden. Getting a bit tired of snow and now mud. This picture is of the “upper garden” which is funny since I don’t have a lot of gardens to really be giving them names. I have been listening to too many podcasts about British garden designers and I am trying to sound posh. I hike the dog daily and one of my favorite podcasts is Gardens Illustrated Magazine ,especially the podcast “In Conversation with Andy Sturgeon, Dan Pearson and Cleve West”. Very funny and informative. Nothing like trooping through the snow with the dog listening to podcasts about gardening. If I get attacked by a bear, moose or mountain lion, know that I never heard it coming and went out of this world happy.
This picture of my garden has been viewed quite a bit on http://www.houzz.com and people love the colors, texture and plantings in between the flagstones. The upper garden is in full glory in mid June which we consider spring around here. The joy of gardening in the mountains of Colorado at 7000′. It is hard to believe under all that snow are beautiful poppies, dianthus, penstemons and veronicas just waiting to make their grand appearance. Spring feels like it is getting closer. The days are longer and a bit warmer but alas snow is forecasted for tomorrow. So the headphones will go back on so I can listen to another podcast, dog gets another hike in the snowy woods and I patiently wait.

Hope the Spring will be with you soon!
