So the big plan for Mother’s Day was for the family to help me in the garden. No brunch, save the flowers and skip the gifts. Just help me in the garden. All this grass in the area pictured was going to be removed by David, Emily and Casey and made into a wildflower garden. Last year they made me a vegetable garden. There was lots of moaning and groaning but the job was done.
But alas my Mother’s Day plans have been foiled. David and the kid’s are thrilled they can’t be put to work. No manual labor for these three. Maybe next weekend?
