Rites of Spring

The snow finally stopped, the sun came out and today was a day for those wonderful rites of spring! Wash the cushions for the porch, wash the screens for the windows (fond childhood memories for this one), sweep the garage, hang clay Mr. Sunshine on wall, expand garden which means remove grass, start adding compost to garden, beg husband to get out of chair and help, look for children to help who are nowhere in sight, sweep and clean flagstones and finally plunk down and watch the Kentucky Derby.
