Just been reading Roy Diblik’s new book, The Know Maintenance Perennial Garden. He has some great photos of “wood chip wastelands” which are gardens completely full of wood chips with few plants. I got inspired to share some of the gardens we have rescued. We had to remove truckloads of this awful shredded cedar mulch. We planted ornamental grasses, yarrows, black eyed susans, bee balm, Russian Sage and more. Much more exciting and interesting.
